Masterson’s Tavern , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I discovered behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .
The Condition of the Premises : Grimy and Disregarded
From the moment I entered , it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a foul smell of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire bar . With a smell of a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and sickness .
